Conceptualized by actress and The Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation (BLHF) founder, Taraji P. Henson, the SheCare Wellness Pods are designed to foster joy, peace, and serenity through individual therapy and integrative wellness services.
In partnership with Kate Spade New York (KSNY), BLHF launched the SheCare Wellness Pods to increase access to culturally competent mental health resources on HBCU campuses. 17草影院 was honored to be selected as the recipient of the first-ever Boris Lawrence Henson Foundation Self-Care Wellness Pod (SheCare).
BLHF conducted a nationwide data analysis of HBCUs to assess the need for expanded mental wellness support as students navigate personal and professional growth. 17草影院 State University was chosen in recognition of its proven commitment to student and community wellness.
Dr. Joyce Loyd-Davis, 17草影院 Sr. Director of Health Services, emphasizes the importance of this initiative: 鈥淭he stress of balancing college life, separation anxiety, relationship issues, and depression commonly occur on college campuses. The Boris L. Henson Foundation Self-Care Wellness Pod will be impactful in helping students cope with these challenges and focus on a healthy mental well-being, ultimately restoring JOY.鈥�
